  • Install the software with your firewall switched off and your virus-detection software turned off. After installation, turn both back on.

  • Your computer can be protected against potential problems if you remove unused firewall and virus-detection programs. They can still cause problems during installation even if they're outdated and no longer in use.

 

 

What is the procedure for installing TurboTax on Windows 7 and Windows 8?

Although TurboTax requires Windows 8 or higher as a minimum system requirement, it can still be installed and used on Windows 7 and newer. Please keep in mind that this is only for older TurboTax versions. Windows 7 support and security updates will cease on January 14, 2020, according to Intuit TurboTax. The security of customers' personal information, including their social security number, as well as their bank account details, was considered when this decision was made. Users of Windows 7 are recommended to upgrade to Windows 10. Users of Windows 7 who plan to file their taxes in 2020 will have to use TurboTax 7 online.

  • Installer.exe can be launched by double-clicking it. After you have completed the installation, you will be prompted to enter your product's license code in the box and select Continue to complete the installation.
